TRAINING ENUMERATORS MAKE US A STEP CLOSER TO THE EVALUATION OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT ENTITLED ‘INSTRUMENT FOR CONTRIBUTING TO STABILITY AND PEACE,’ (ICSP), A PEACE-BUILDING INITIATIVE WHICH WAS IMPLEMENTED BY WORLD VISION AFGHANISTAN FROM MARCH 2016 – MARCH 2019

This end-of-project evaluation is being conducted by TAGHEER, an Afghanistan-based independent evaluation organization which specializes in program evaluations and assessments with the objective of assessing the merits and effectiveness of the project. The evaluation is comprehensively assessing the five pronged dimensions of relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability with a commitment to imbue a gender-sensitive perspective into all components of the assessment.

TAGHEER conducted a comprehensive two days training for data enumerators in Herat province about research objectives, the background of the HH Survey and how to effectively select participants and to conduct the interview with integrity and accountability as well as to reliably capture all of the information that is provided. The enumerators were also trained on conducing the KIIs and FGDs to collect qualitative data to explore and explain the nature of causality and resulting changes that were observed. The interviews were designed to examine the theory of change and results framework as a means of understanding and confirming the project results and processes. The enumerators were provided a full briefing on the evaluation target groups including Peace councils, Implementing partners, GIROA, School administration, religious leaders, CDCs, and Women Shuras and to approach them with dignity.
