TAGHEER SIGNS FOR A FEASIBILITY STUDY
TAGHEER will be undertaking a feasibility study in five major cities of Afghanistan for ASMO “Afghan Social Marketing Organization; an NGO promoting health products to achieve behavior change among married couples through family planning and child survival. The current direct distribution system covers 177 cities and districts in 27 out of 34 provinces through five regional offices/warehouses including Kabul, Balkh, Herat, Kandahar and Nangarhar.
This study will help find the best commercial distributors for ASMO health products in Kabul, Herat, Balkh, Nangarhar, and Kandahar through a phased approach. TAGHEER will short list the health products distributors, who fulfill a basic eligibility criteria to promote to the next stage of an In-depth interview and to provide more information and show interest to become the distribution channels for family planning and child survival health products at National and Regional levels.
TAGHEER will work in collaboration with ASMO, ANMSO “Afghan National Medicine Services Organization” and Chamber of Commerce to identify, interview, and recommend potential distributors for signing partnership arrangement with ASMO. The feasibility study will help expanding the distribution coverage for ASMO products thus increasing the health products access and availability for Afghan families and will reduce stock outs, client servicing time and sales and distribution operations cost.
